Trasylol

Doctors administer Trasylol (aprotinin) to open heart and hip replacement surgery patients to prevent blood loss during surgery.  Trasylol, a coagulent, inhibits the body's enzymes that control blood flow.

Unfortunately, numerous studies have found higher occurrences of kidney failure, strokes, and heart attacks in patients administered Trasylol. A New England Journal of Medicine study estimated that approximately 11,000 patients every year must begin dialysis because of Trasylol. If you or someone you love recently underwent heart or hip surgery and subsequently suffered a stroke, heart attack, or kidney failure, you may be entitled to compensation.

If your medical records indicate that you were given Trasylol, seek immediate legal representation. The attorneys at McGartland & Borchardt have effectively represented clients in defective pharmaceutical drug cases throughout the country.
